I am alive, don't worry

Yeah, I have been away for a while ... I know. My life has been busy and I haven't had the chance to post on my blog. I am a very bad blogger. As amends, will give you an ADD recap of things ...

The Greek and I are doing well. We have been hanging out a lot lately, which is good. But I believe that the extended exposure to one another cause some friction. We had a couple of serious discussions and worked through them, which is great. I have been in relationships where we never had an arguments, and those ended rather quickly. I always had this ideal relationship in my mind where partner and I never fought and it was just an oh-so-blissful existance. That's not reality. Or maybe I didn't care about the people enough to bother to fight with them ... but the Greek and I are good. So good that I am learning Greek. The alphabet is difficult but I will have to practice them for a while before I move onto vocabulary. I still have difficulty pronouncing gamma ('g' words) words because it has a weird "hg" tone which sounds like and 'r' but it is not. It is a bit throaty. I will post some of my greek studies here ... to share.

The Academy Awards were okay, mostly because Jon Stewart was the host. I watched it on a TiVo delay so I could fast foward through the boring parts. I ended up watching a lot of and the show, and I was shocked (SHOCKED!) that Three 6 Mafia won Best Song for "It's Hard Out Here For A Pimp." I think they are trying to make the awards more "minority friendly." Take a listen:

Why did that H.A.M. of a girl get up and tried to hit that last note? She proabably thinks she will get a record contract out of it.

Work has been really busy, but today was oddly slow. I am being sent out to Fort Worth to work on one of our sales centers on Thursday. I am hoping that this will all go smoothly and won't have to be there for a couple of hours. Three hours max .. then I will be able to get back home before rush hour.

I am in the process of building my CD collection. I am starting of purchasing the CD that I got illegal to support the artist ... but I am not going to pay full price. I getting the CDs used for like $2 or under and playing $3 for shipping from Amazon. So far I bought Bjork's Debut CD and Brandy's Afrodisiac. Afrodisiac is a hot CD and I can't believe it didn't sell more than it did. I came out two years ago but I am still playing it in my car. I have four more CDs that should be here this week: Sunshine Anderson's debut CD, Janet's janet album (I have it but lost the cover art and the CD is scratched), and Bjork's Post and Vespertine albums. I am going to add to my collection by getting some music before the use of Pro Tools ... 70's soul music. I don't listen to the radio but I know I am not missing much. I saw a clip from the 1982 Tony Awards and must buy the Dreamgirls Soundtrack because of it. Have a look:

Awesome! I am looking forward to the movie in December.

Project Runway ended, and in the words of Michael Kors ... I was a bit underwhelmed. The fashion line by Chloe, Dan, and Santino were just meh compared to the first season. The lines by Jay and Kara Suan were awesome. Kara Janx who was the final person out before the last runway show had the best collection by far. If she were still "in" she would have won. Take a look ... the purple wrap dress near the end is gorgeous.

The tennis tournament in Austin is this Saturday, and I am excited. Inspired by Project Runway I created a theme for my outfits ... Hell on Earth:

So I got the look, I just need to be on my game during the tournament. My backhand is really good now ... more consistent. I just need to get more power behind it. I will be taking pictures of the events while in Austin and I will share them with you all ... all six of you. I will have the Greek take some photos and movies of me in action as well. Your welcome!
