My Weekend: 7/15 and 7/16

Saturday

Condo viewing -

I decided to look at a condo that was recently built in the Oaklawn area of Dallas. The complex is called Westside Condos and the place exceed my expectations. The drawbacks are: the new complex is in between to aging rental complexes that will be eventually demolished, in the middle of a flight path, and there is a huge subsidized apartment complex across the street. The Greek used to live in the area, and it is kind of sketchy.

I looked at a couple of apartment and I ended up liking this floor plan the best.

The floor were a polished concrete and all of the appliances were stainless steel. Unfortunately, it is something that I can't afford right now. So I am going to stick to my plan and wait and save up for a year and then make a decision. I should have took pictures but I was took caught into looking around that I forget.

Gay Bingo -

My tennis group, OLTA, were having a 50/50 raffle to raise funds for our group at Gay Bingo here in Dallas. Gay Bingo is a month event that raises money for the Resource Center of Dallas, and each month has a different theme. This month was "RUNWAY gayBINGO", which was a model/fashion theme based on Project Runway.

My group sold over $2100 worth of tickets, so we raise a lot for our group and some luck bastard got over a grand in the jackpot. I am bitter because I could play.

After Bingo we all headed to this small Mexico food place, but the name escapes me at the moment. It was good but being raised in Syracuse, the only Mexcian food I at was Taco Bell. So authenic Mexican taste different because my taste buds has been spoiled by beef-in-a-bag soft tacos.

We all left the restaurant around 1am and all planned to meet up for tennis at 9am. I thought everyone would be late and I would be on time.

Sunday

I was so late for tennis. But there were some other straggles as well so I didn't feel to bad. Even thought it was hot out it was too bad of a day for tennis. Afterward we all went to Cafe Express for lunch and socialized. It was a good day.

After lunch I had planned on seeing "Who Killed The Electric Car?" but I was too worn out to leave my apartment. I will catch it this weekend.

Extras ...

I omitted some detail about a guy that has caught my attention. I think the feeling is mutal, but I will give up the detail tomorrow.
