I spent this Sunday watching the World Cup final with the Netherlands against Spain. I like that the sport is constantly moving because the clock is, so it doesn’t last forever. But I noticed how much histrionics were used by the players into order to get calls the referees, and the referee’s inability to see actual rule violations.
Lacrosse (minus the sticks and padding) + a kickball + the fakeness of pro wrestling = soccer
