Movies: Think Like A Man

I went to Studio Movie Grill to see Three Stoogees, but theatre’s online schedule was wrong, so I ended up seeing Think Like A Man instead.

I no intention of seeing this movie ever, but I was at the theatre and I didn’t want to leave without seeing a movie, and this movie started in 10 minutes. The movie was not as bad as I thought, but it wasn’t great either. I had some laughs, but was confused by the timeline of events, and why Steve Harvey had to make so many cameos in a movie that was based on his book. His appearances were jarring to me.

The audience in the theater was about 95% African-American, and I found it funny that an older white women, who was enjoying her wine, was actively talking to the screen. She broke the stereotype, and I quite enjoyed her wine-induced commentary. To be fair, a black couple brought in a crying baby and didn’t leave the theatre, so they were talked to by the staff.

All in all this movie is more suited for cable, the paying money in the theatre.
