Shopping Is My Cardio

Yesterday I ending up doing some damage to my credit card while at the mall. I was just going to return this awful pink shirt -- it was't a bad pink shirt, just a pink shirt that did go well with my skin tone --I bought from Express when I ended up buying 3 new polos with huge lion emblem on it.

I love these shirts because they fit me so well. I have a total of 4 now but Iwill have to get 2 more striped shirts and then I will be done.

After the mall the housemate and I headed North to Ikea because I am looking for a couch. After a long delay due to construction we finally made it on to find that Rooms To Go built a new store approximately 100 yards away. I was on the stores website a couple of days ago and I find a sectional that I quite like.

I walked in the store and I was welcomed by a nice older sale associate name George that helped me find the sectional I saw online. I found it and tested it out and it was really comfortable. The issue that I foresaw was the size. This is a big couch (120 in. x 87 in.) but I think If it was broken apart I could manage to squeeze it in my living room. I told George that I was going to look around the store to see what else they had in their inventory. This my code to leave me alone and allow me to browse ... apparently George didn't get it. He ended up tracking me down in the store 3 times with his suggestions. I don't know if he get a commission from the purchase but I like to be left alone while I am browsing. There was a cute girl at Express that suggested a the brown polo (pictured above) and helped me find the size that I needed. Other than that, she left me alone. That's good service to me.

Anyway, I ended up finding another sofa and an ottoman that would look good and it would fit comfortably in my living.

I was unsure so I decided to mull it over and come back after looking at some other stores.

I headed over to IKEA and say this sofa 5 minutes after I arrived:

It is really expensive yet comfortable but I really wanted an ottoman as well so that would push the cost to over $1000. If I were to spend that much money I should just find some good furniture. So at this moment I am still undecided and I will make my final decision in about 2 weeks or so.

After IKEA we stopped at the Nike Oulet at the Allen Prime Outlet Mall and I got some badly need sneakers:

"Party, Party, Party!"
Lamar from Revenge of the Nerds

I Arrived at the party about 45 minutes late (in the outfit pictured above) because the directions were not very good. I had to take a left on Routh Street, but after a call to host after getting lost I was told the OTHER Routh Street that was 2 streets north of were I was. WTF!?!?

I mingled, saw my friends, wished the 30 year old birthday boy a "happy 25th birthday" (because his isn't coping too well now he is 30), got a free drink from the waitress, and got compliments on my shirt. Thanks for noticing, boys! Althought, I almost freaked when a friend of mine touch my shirt after snacking on some greasy finger foods WITHOUT wiping his hands. But remained composed.

The party was at a bar, and I always find it odd to go to bars because I don't drink alcohol. Inevitably, someone will ask why I don't drink and my response "because I don't like to the taste of alcohol" is never sufficient. I think I wil start saying that I am in recovery for alcohol addiction because you can't really argue with that. I will buy an AA chip on eBay or just go to an AA meeting and trade a beer for one.

I left the party around 11pm when the heteros beseiged the establishment. The night wasn't not over thought. I ended going to a bar in the gaybourhood called Woody's with some people from the party and chatted on the outdoor patio until 12:30am. I was nice and relaxed. I dragged myself in my front door at 1am, ate half of my Molten Chocolate Cake from Chilis and went to bed around 2am before I had to get up at 8 for tennis.

I never get to sleep in on the weekends.

Project Runway 3 - Episode 3

Episode 3 - Designer's Best Friends

This episode the designers were to design and outfit based on a popular accessory. A bag? A necklace? A pair of shoes?

It turns out that the accessory was a dog. Dogs are NOT accessories! I don't care if a lot of public people are buying dogs to carry around with them. They are living, breathing creatures that requires a lot of care. If people get a dog because Paris Hilton has one, they're idiots.

Sorry to get a PETA on y'all, but it just reminds me of when people were getting Puggles because it was the hot new thing.

Anyway ...

Winner: Uli, My Fav.: Michael, Auf'd: Katherine

Let me just say that this season is by far the best season in terms of the designs. They contestants are making jackets! The first season you were luck if you saw a sleeve. I think designers saw that this wasn't just some fluke show, so they decided to join the competition.

Michael is rocking my world with his designs. They fit wonderfully, impeccably sewn and look very wearable. I originally thought that Robert, Keith and Jeffrey would be the final 3... but I would like to replace Jeffrey with Michael. I you watch the show there is a noticable absence of Michael presence. Maybe they are gearing up for a underdog win. I am looking forward to his next designs.

Next week we have the removal of a contestant for whatever reason. I haven't read any spoilers regarding this, and I am trying to avoid them at all cost. From the preview I know that it isn't Kayne or Robert ... or is it?

Tune in next week to see how it goes down.

The Last To Know

Lance is gay!

It turns out that Lance Bass, formerly of *NSYNC, has come out of the closet ... finally. He has been spotted with Reichen Lehmkuhl for month at various events and gay clubs. You can't go to a gay club, in Provincetown and expect people not to talk. But people have been talking for months so this comes as no surprise.

I was late checking my blog sites and this was the topic of discussion in most of them.

Back To Work

I am back at the office today, and it has been a slow day. I enjoyed by day off yesterday but I was constantly checking my work email just in case something went wrong. While home I got to see a Maury paternity test show. I love these shows. There was a woman who brought 9 guys to the show previously but NONE where the father. She brought number 10 to the show and said that she is claimed to be 100% sure.

Maury: I have the results. The test shows that [the potential daddy] ...
Lady (interrupting): YOU ARE THE FATHER!!
Maury: ...you are NOT the father!

This was followed by the lady making a mad dash through the studio before collapsing into a blubbering mess. I love schadenfreude.

Anyway ...

This past Saturday I went to a friend house for a BBQ. I thought it was going to be just 4 people, but 10 showed up. I nervous about meeting the friends of my friend but they were very cool and welcoming, so it good. We ate, talked and got on really well. But there was this one woman at the end of the night who wanted to try to levitate someone. I seriously thought she was kidding, but I was wrong. This would have been cute if she were 15 and we were having a slumber party. This chick was 45 and wanted to play "light as a feather, stiff as a board". We humored her and she got pissed off at us for not trying hard enough. We all laughed at/with her. I finally stumbled home around 1am (I don't drink, I was just tired) and promptly went to sleep.

Oh, also during the party my preference not to hug people as a greeting was questioned. I think mostly I am from the Northeast but I think down inside I am a germaphobe. Since I moved down to Texas I have been more willing to give handshakes and hugs but it is still a struggle. Maybe it stems from my friend (who shall remain nameless) dissing me when I wanted to hold hands during our triumphant victory at the Amazing Library Race*. It is all your fault. I hope you can live with yourself. :)

This Saturday I am going to the birthday party of an OLTA member. I should be fun. The birthday boy is turning 30 and hates that he is no longer in his 20s. I wondering if he will start to look at me differently because I still am?

[* - The Amazing Library Race was a scavenger hunt through the libraries on the University at Buffalo North Campus based on the CBS game show The Amazing Race.]

A Working Day Off

Happy Monday!

Today I am taking day off, but still working intermittently from home. I took the day off weeks ago for the Madonna concert, but as I mentioned before ... it didn't work out. Fortunately, NBC announced that they will be airing the concert in November; unfortunately, NBC has final edit approval so all of the possible taboo portions of the show will be out. Luckily I don't have to wait until then:

[dvd screen captures]

The Internet is great!

The weekend was fun and I will post what went on later.

Yesterday was the Miss Universe pageant and I only remember because my set my TiVo to record it almost a week ago. And Miss USA, Tara Conners, wore the dress featured on Project Runway...

...it looks okay. But I think she would have looked better in my favorite dress made by Laura and Michael. Maybe the dress is the reason was 4th runner up.

Or maybe it was the blonde dye job she got?

Project Runway 3: Episode 2

I am a bit late with this, so it is probably been done to death by now ... and probably better. But I am doing it anyway.

Episode 2 Challenge - Fit For A Queen

No, they are not designing dresses for drag queens even though Kayne and Robert would probably love to do that. They are designing a dress for Miss USA contestant Tara Conners ... yeah, I don't know who she is either. They only thing I could surmise is that NBC is showing the Miss Universe pageant and NBC Universal owns both NBC and Bravo; voila, corporate synergy.

Winners: Kayne and Robert, My Fav.: Michael and Laura, Auf'd: Malan and Katherine

Miss USA will be wearing the winners dress at the Miss Universe pageant on Sunday. I didn't really like it, but I wondering how it will look on stage. I may TiVo it tomorrow and just fast forward until I get to the evening gown portion of the show. I am pretty sure there will be some altering of the dress, but I wonder how much it will change from when the show aired.

If you like -- Marius, I already know you will be watching -- tune into NBC on Sunday 9/8c for the finished product.

PS: What do you think about Michael? I am not sure about his "preference", if you know what I mean.

Yay or Nay? ... not that there anything wrong with it. I am just sayin' ...

Big Brother US -vs- Big Brother UK

I have been a fan of Big Brother US since the first season, and I only began to watch Big Brother UK this current season. When I didn't have anything to compare the show to, I thought the US version was the best show. But now that I have seen the UK version I can see it is inferior.

The major difference between the BBUS and its UK counterpart is how the show is edited. BBUS is only broadcasted 3 days out of the week, and BBUK is on everyday (which includes spin off shows: Big Brother's Big Mouth and Big Brother's Little Brother). The UK version basically shows you the highlights of each day, where the US version condenses 2 to 3 days of footage for one airing. The show isn't linear because conversations at taken from each day and edited together as thought it is in chronological order

My major issue with BBUS is that they rely on the housemates' dairy room entries to narrate the story arc they develop. You never go more than two minutes without some diary room footage. And to top it all off, most of the footage is redundant. For example, someone could be visibly and vocally upset about being nominated for eviction and they would show diary room footage saying how they are upset because they are nominated. Another example, last night's episode had a golf task and the rules were explained in the beginning. But through out the whole golf task they had at least 5 people re-iterate the rules. Take a look:

The show treats you as though you suffer ADD and you can't remember what the hell is going on. Maybe they do it just in case some happens to flip the channel to the show you can to know exactly what is currently happening. I don't know ... but it is annoying.

BBUK give you a "fly on the wall" experience where you just what these people interact with one another without the need for story editing. Sometimes it is dull or repetative, but even the worst show on BBUK is better than BBUS.

Another thing I don't like about BBUS is that they basically made it Survivor in a house. In every other BB franchise, the viewers vote to decide who goes home. BBUS has a Head of Household (HOH) that chooses two people for nomination and the rest of the people vote for the person they want gone. There are some twists and turns (i.e Marcellas' eviction) ...

...but after a while it gets old. Mostly due to the fact the everyone is talking about strategy and not co-mingling with the other people.

And BBUS feels the need to do interviews with family and friends of the houseguests up for eviction during the live show. Why does that even matter? With all of the filler they show the leave out some juicy bits. From what I read online Erika suffered an injurying during a task but the show didn't even mention ... as of yet. I doubt they will, though.

Alright, I will end this rant here. If you haven't seen BBUK you can download them at UKNova, which is a site decicated to UK shows. Get a couple of episode of BBUK and hopefully you will see what I am refering to.

By the way, Julie "Chenbot" Chen is so not human ... but I love her anyway.

Phone Art: 7/19/2006

I know, I know. I am sort of over-doing it on the Madonna stuff, but I blame it on the excitement of possible chance of seeing her in Miami. Unfortunately things didn't work out. The image is just a cropped version of this one.

The resolution for the picture is 240x320 pixels. I have a Samsung A900 phone, so your resolution maybe different than mine.

My current ringer is a looped sample of "Let It Will Be (Paper Faces Mix)" by, of course, Madonna and it is in a .m4a format. Most newer phones will be able to play these.

My Weekend: 7/15 and 7/16

Saturday

Condo viewing -

I decided to look at a condo that was recently built in the Oaklawn area of Dallas. The complex is called Westside Condos and the place exceed my expectations. The drawbacks are: the new complex is in between to aging rental complexes that will be eventually demolished, in the middle of a flight path, and there is a huge subsidized apartment complex across the street. The Greek used to live in the area, and it is kind of sketchy.

I looked at a couple of apartment and I ended up liking this floor plan the best.

The floor were a polished concrete and all of the appliances were stainless steel. Unfortunately, it is something that I can't afford right now. So I am going to stick to my plan and wait and save up for a year and then make a decision. I should have took pictures but I was took caught into looking around that I forget.

Gay Bingo -

My tennis group, OLTA, were having a 50/50 raffle to raise funds for our group at Gay Bingo here in Dallas. Gay Bingo is a month event that raises money for the Resource Center of Dallas, and each month has a different theme. This month was "RUNWAY gayBINGO", which was a model/fashion theme based on Project Runway.

My group sold over $2100 worth of tickets, so we raise a lot for our group and some luck bastard got over a grand in the jackpot. I am bitter because I could play.

After Bingo we all headed to this small Mexico food place, but the name escapes me at the moment. It was good but being raised in Syracuse, the only Mexcian food I at was Taco Bell. So authenic Mexican taste different because my taste buds has been spoiled by beef-in-a-bag soft tacos.

We all left the restaurant around 1am and all planned to meet up for tennis at 9am. I thought everyone would be late and I would be on time.

Sunday

I was so late for tennis. But there were some other straggles as well so I didn't feel to bad. Even thought it was hot out it was too bad of a day for tennis. Afterward we all went to Cafe Express for lunch and socialized. It was a good day.

After lunch I had planned on seeing "Who Killed The Electric Car?" but I was too worn out to leave my apartment. I will catch it this weekend.

Extras ...

I omitted some detail about a guy that has caught my attention. I think the feeling is mutal, but I will give up the detail tomorrow.

My Letter to Kaysar from Big Brother All-Stars

-Kaysar

Our relationship (the one you don't know about) has been a year in the making.

You piqued my interest when you first walked in the house.

You made me swoon when you sealed the fate of Eric's eviction last year.

But your trust in people, particular Jennifer, and your need to exploit your limited power will ultimately be your downfall. You are guy who seems intellegent ... but why do you have to be so stupid?

Why did you nominate Diane and Nakomis this week for eviction and make a deal with your main competitors Mike and Will? Why did you not tell your alliance (Janelle, Howie, and James) about your change in strategy?

Your whole plan to expose the alliances in the house is going to backfire because it is only week number two. Furthermore, your alliance was exposed as soon as you won Head of Household when Howie and Janelle expressed their delight by sprinting to you for hugs. So more than likely you will be gone if your alliance doesn't win Head of Household on Thursday. Did you learn anything from last year? Huh? Did you?

Why are you make it so hard for me to like you? If you don't change your ways, you will be gone sooner than you think. But since you are a handsome man ...

... I am willing to work things out.

Delay

I have a lot of stuff to say but not enough time to formulate cogent sentences. Hopefully I will have a long post tomorrow, barring anything that will cause a delay.

But I will stay this ...

... I will not be going to Miami to see Madonna this Saturday. Ticketmaster hasn't released more tickets and I don't trust eBay enough to drop $1000 on ticket that may or not be real. If I am going to give anyone $1000 they will have to be within stabbing range in case the deal goes awry. Also I have to refurnish my apartment when my housemate departs and a good couch will cost a pretty penny. I thought about being all cheap and getting a futon from Wal-Mart but I know I won't be comfortable. I will post my trek to furniture stores in search of the perfect couch in about a month or so.

Tune in tomorrow for: my letter to Kaysar, my past weekend dramas, and randomness.

My "To Do" List

Today was the day that I decided to get somethings I have been meaning to do done. Since I had a half day at work, I made a list of things to do:

1. Go to mall to return pink polo shirt you got from Express Men that you knew was wrong for you before you bought but decided to buy it anyway.

2. Have lunch at mall (Sbarro's, or something else fast but good).

3. Head to Angelika Movie Theatre to see Strangers With Candy at 2pm.

4. After movie, return digital cable DVR back to Charter Cable.

I gathered the Charter DVR and Express polo, along with my other work essentials, put them in my trunk and headed out the door. This is where thing started going wrong.

I arrived at work and I needed to retrieve some of the items from the trunk. I lifted the release latch from inside my car ... but nothing happened. I tried again but there was no response. I just got the latch fixed 4 months ago for this problem. I ended up using the key to open the trunk to retrieve my things. I closed the trunk and tried the latch again, and it finally opened the trunk. (note: make appointment with Toyota to get trunk latch looked at)

I arrive at my office things seemed to be really slow. I thought I would be able to catch up on things that I failed to do the day before because ended up spending three hours on the phone with Dell after our backup server stopped working. Everything was fine until about 11:30am when my co-workers all decided to take lunch leaving me alone to man the phones. I didn't leave work at noon as planned. Finally at 12:45pm I left the office. Even though with the forty-five minute delay I thought I would be able to accomplish all of my tasks. So I headed to the mall.

I head to the Galleria Mall, where I purchased the shirt but there were about 10 cars queued on the street just to get into the mall entrance. I waited for about 5 minutes before going to a different entrance. As I changed lanes this lady in a silver car just missed hitting me by a foot when she decided just to plow threw 5 lanes of traffic. I was pissed and honked my horn (as I clutched my pearls)... and the ice princess didn't even acknowledge me. As I looked into her eyes that were veiled behind oversized shades, I thought maybe I was over reacting. But when I saw the pedestrian on the median looking visibily shocked at what just happened I figure that my reaction was justified. Driving around in circles unable to reach the other mall entrance, I decided to get forgo the mall and get something to eat. I stopped at McDonald's to picked a delicious (yet revolting) number 1 combo. In under 1 minute I had my food in hand and headed for home.

Got home, dropped off my work bag, slammed the Big Mac and fries down my gullet using my medium Hi-C Orange drink as lubrication, then headed to the movie theatre at 1:50pm.

I found my seat in theatre 5 when the light dimmed and the previews started. I saw a lot of previews for movies I think I will see (Little Miss Sunshine, The Great New Wonderful, The Night Listener, Scoop.

The movie that I have been waiting for the last 2 years for Strangers With Candy and the movie is really funny. The main character Jerri Blank, played by Amy Sedaris, wasn't as ugly as she was on the television ... but I guess extreme ugliness on the small screen would be overhelming on the big screen. All the guest stars (Alison Janning, Mathew Broderick, Sarah Jessica Parker, Philip Seymour Hoffman) really were good in their brief scenes. Stephen Colbert, of course, stole the movie. The movie is playing in limited release but check it out if it comes to your area.

After the movie I made my way to the Charter Cable office to drop off the DVR only to find out that the office closed on June 2, 2006. I called customer service and I was given the following options:

- drop it off at location 30+ minutes one-way frin my house for a 5 minute transaction.
- schedule a techinician to pick up the box (which I would have to take time off of work).

I asked for them to send me a shipping label so I send to them via FedEx or UPS. The representative denied my request and I asked to speak with their supervisor. I was transfered to another representative, who was not the supervisor, and explained the situation. This person without debate processed a shipping label request, and I thanked them. I still don't know why they closed the only office that services 500+ customers. That makes no sense to me.

The only think I didn't get done was the shirt exchange but I will head to the mall tomorrow or Sunday.

I will just add it to my "to do" list.

Project Runway 3: Episode 1

I am so glad that my favorite reality show is back on the air. Amazing Race used to be my favorite show, but when they aired that damn family edition ... the love was gone. I love Project Runway because it is reality show in which the participants actually have a skill. They don't have to eat the testicles of a syphillic money to win $10,000.

I know it is a really show and there are some dramas that the producers created, but the people actually have to design the clothes. You can't fake that. Unless you are Wendy Pepper.

Episode 1 Challenge - Wall to Wall

The challenge was to take existing material from their apartment and create a innovative design from it.

The winner was Keith but it just basically used a bed sheet, buttons and some wall hangings for necklaces. Not very innovative but a good design.

My Final 3 Picks

Robert, Keith, Jeffrey

I don't know why, I just have a feeling. The first season was 2 female and 1 male; second season was 2 males and 1 female ... so I think it will be 3 males this time. I could be wrong and I think I am but I will enjoy the show either way.

This season should be really good, and my TiVo for the heavy use. There is some drama in a future episode. Apparently some breaks some rules and possibly gets the boot. I don't know for sure and I am staying away from the spoilers.

You will have to tune in to find out!

Auf wiedersehen!

I Could Have Swore He Was A Bottom!

Bunky, one of my choice for Big Brother All-Stars, has a profile on a website called Slave4Master. That in it self isn't surprising ... but after reading his profile and find out he is a aggressive top shocked me. The guy cried at least 3 times per episode on Big Brother 2 so I naturally assumed he was a passive bottom. I just don't know how to process this new information.

Wimbledon Final Champions

I know I am a bit late with this, but congrats to Roger Federer and Amelie Mauresmo for their wins at the Wimbledon this past weekend. They both played well and they deserve their titles.

I ended up watching both matches in the business center of my friend's condo. I am still recovering from having to wake up at 7am on the weekend, but it was worth it. I will probably do the same for the final Slam of the season, the US Open. But since there will only be an hour delay because the matches will air live from Flushing Meadows, NY (EST) I will be able to sleep in.

If the proposed Miami trip doesn't work out, I may head to NYC to watch the US Open live.

Chappelle Show: The Lost Episodes

The oft-delayed "lost episodes" of Chappelle Show finally aired this past Sunday and I thought it wasn't that great. The sketch about the new Tupac song called "I Wrote This in '94" was really good with him foretelling the future about current events even though he did in 97. I found the rest of the show really dark, but not in a good way.

There was a sketch were he was reveling in his success and getting revenge on all the people who doubted him in the past. During the sketch he pushed a guy in a wheelchair down a flight of stairs accompanied by evil laughter, and then it was followed up by him punting a baby. WTF???

Luckily there are only 3 episodes in that this seems to be lackluster final season. But let's hope there is a chance that Dave Chappelle will see these and comeback to Comedy Central to do more episodes to sort of end on a high note.

Kathy Griffin: Officially Divorced

I watched the Larry King interview and it was really underwhelming. They only relatively new revealation was that she is not longer with Matt and that he stole about $72,000 from her over the course of one and a half years. But you could have gotten that from the previews. She says that they were not faking it for the cameras and tried to reconcile but it ended up not working.

Too bad ... they were really cute together. Although, she didn't speculation on what the money was used for I would have to say that he was gambling. The show touched on his love for Fantasy Football, so I am thinking that is were the money went...

...allegedly.

BB7 All-Stars: 1st Nominations

To my surprise Danielle and Allison are up for nominations. If you saw the first episode this past Thursday, then you know that these names seems to have came from out of the blue. Well, in retrospect, it was totally obvious. Reasons:

1. The editing on Big Brother US sucks and they give everything away. Their storytelling-type editing takes away the element of surprise.

2. Daniell and Alliso worked they agenda so hard they it was bound to blow up in their faces.

From what I saw I would happy with either one of them going at this point.

Where did the hatred of the housemates of BB6? Everyone is dead set on trying to get Kaysar, Howie, Janelle and James off because they are very popular housemates from last season. Why not focus your efforts on Will? He is the only person there who won the competition but you want to focus on the others? Makes no sense.

The new episode will air tomorrow with an eviction on Thursday. My yearly summer addiction has arrived.

Kathy Griffin on Larry King Live TONIGHT!

Barring any new missles from North Korea, the Kathy Griffin interview will air tonight on Larry King Live at 9pm EST on CNN.

Big Brother All-Star Cast Revealed

***SPOILER****

Here are the names of the supposed cast:

Men (8) :
-"Chicken" George Boswell (BOO!)
-Marcellas Reynolds (Yeah, sort of. I guess he won't be hosting Big Brother Housecalls)
-Kaysar Ridha (Thanks, y'all!)
-Howie Gordon (yeah!)
-Jase Wirey (ewww!)
-James Rhine (bleh)
-Dr. Will Kirby (no opinion)
-Mike "Boogie" Matlin (what the...?!?)

Women (6):

-Janelle Pierzina (Double Yeah!)
-Alison Irwin (okay)
-Danielle Reyes (Triple Yeah!)
-Diane Henry (boo!)
-Jennifer "Nakomis" Dedmon (yes)
-Erika Landin (NO! How could she get voted in? Does anyone remember when she call Korean housemate Jin a "chink"? Bad move America.)

Well it looks like most of my choices are in, so that gotta be worth something. I really hope this season isn't boring.

Tune in tomorrow, July 6th, at 8pm EST to see who acutally makes it in.

North Korea Hates Kathy Griffin

Apparently North Korea is pissed because they don't get Bravo! and can't watch Life on the D-List. So they decided to set off some test missles in protest.

Kathy was bumped from Larry King Live yesterday in order for them have some roundtable discussion.

Secretly I think Star Jones has something to do with this. She hates Kathy and she probably doesn't want her to get more attention.

Just a thought.

Should I Confess (even though I am not Catholic)?

[source: Confessions Tour]

Yesterday evening I decided that I wanted to go see Madonna after reading on Madonnalicious that the Madison Square Garden just released for tickets for the July 19th show. And these seats were really good. The were floor seats right in front of the catwalk. I asked my housemate if he would be interested in going, and he was in. I ended calling my buddy Marius to see if he was in as well ... he was. The only problem was that 3 tickets were available on the floor, only crappy nosebleed-seats.

If I am going to spend $350 on a ticket I want the performer to be close enough to smack me in the face with any appendage.

NYC was a bust not only because there weren't enough tickets available, it was also the fact that Marius couldn't get away on that day. The last two shows are in Miami on July 22nd and 23rd (Saturday and Sunday) and by some weird coincedence he was thinking about going to Miami for that particular weekend. Mostly for the Cuban men, ... not specifically for Madonna.

The flight is cheap from DFW to Miami ($300 roundtrip) and everything looked like it would work out. Once again, I can't find 3 floor tickets that are together. I have been searching ebay and ticket brokers but no one had 3 floor seats. Merde!

Here are my options:

- Get 2 awesome floor seats on Saturday and Sunday just for me.

I am really hoping that American Airlines Arena in Miami will open up some seats in the next few days. Even when a concert is "sold out" it is never really completely sold. I still have a couple of weeks so we will see how thing work out.

This will cost me a tons of greenbacks, but I have a credit card that I rarely take advantage of and I could pay myself back in 3 months. And the fact that I am complete afraid of flying will not deter me.

Should I save myself the time an money and just go see Mariah Carey screech out the hits for $150 seat in the 8th row? I like Mariah, but she isn't a live performer.

Well ... she was before "Mimi" was "crazy".

She'll just be walking around the stage in tiny outfits accessoried with clear stripper heals while trying her hardest to stay on key. Also, I have the feeling that her concert will be canceled due to low ticket sales.

This is the time I wish I knew people in high places so I could submit a favor.

Anyone have tickets? I am just putting it out into the blogsphere.

Lil' Kim is Free!

Lil' Kim (born Kimberely Jones) was released from prison this morning.

After her release, the chauffeured Rolls Royce whisked her away to her plastic surgeon's office where she has a standing appointment on the first Monday of every month. She is going to need some serious touchups.

Kathy Griffin's Marriage Revelation

WHAT!!! That would explain why she got a divorce from him, and why she didn't mention him when she was performing in Dallas last week. This would also explain why she refuse to comment on the status of marriage on Howard Stern a couple of weeks back.

If my husband stole $5 from me, I would have to cut 'em.

You can see the Larry King Live interview on Tuesday, July 4th at 9pm EST on CNN.

I already got to my TiVo ready.
